I'm James, a Biochemistry student at Bethany Lutheran College, a private Christian institution in Mankato, Minnesota. I am involved in a variety of different things where I write, learn, and help those around me. My creative side comes out when I'm writing, which is expressed in my second-brain passion project, HEADSPACE, a Substack aimed at understanding and growth through a Christ-centered lens. When I'm not writing, studying, or working on anything else, you can find me going on walks to take in nature, listening to CCM (especially Forrest Frank), or with my head burried deep into a good book (which unfortunately doesn't happen that often).

Everything you may (or may not) want to know about me
To each of these, I think there is a sort of art of learning behind them which makes it enjoyable not only to learn, but also to share and create with. I love finding ways that I can positively benefit others through my passions.
I love being able to use my creativity, skills, talents, and energy to help benefit other individuals. I love getting to see the smile on someone's face when I offer to help in unexpected ways. I also love writing, because I get to do it all for the glory of God and I get to offer the comfort of the Gospel to a broken world. It's part of what drives me to continue doing what I do.
My hobbies and work sometimes are fortunately indistinguishable, but when I'm not working on something directly related to a class or a project, I love spending time improving my web development skills and working on graphic design projects for fun. I'm also a scrappy Pixel 10 user and love taking photos of nature (and my siblings) in my free time. I love reading books as well, especially allegorical fiction like the "Chronicles of Narnia" and "Wingfeather Saga" series, almost as much as I enjoy writing comforting devotions and important discussions to be had in today's culture. Finally, whether I'm deep into it or just relaxing, you can find me listening to Christian contemporary music, especially anything by Forrest Frank.
